My back pain kept me from doing the things I loved

“I had lower back pain that made it hard for me to get out of bed sometimes and kept me from doing the things I love like running and spending time with my friends.

I suffered for about 4 months. Only saw a doctor one time and received pills and muscle relaxers, which only masked the pain.

I like most the holistic approach that Dr. Young employs. He cares about my entire well-being and encourages a well balanced life with chiropractic, exercise and nutrition.

I have no back pain anymore! I would highly recommend Dr. Young and Dr. Tapia to ANYONE that is looking for a way to mitigate and eliminate pain and live a full healthy life.”

Chiropractic Effective for Back Pain

Research studies show that chiropractic care is effective in treating low back pain. A 2011 study suggested that chiropractic care can prevent recurring back symptoms better than traditional treatments. Researchers studied almost 900 cases of back pain, and discovered that patients receiving traditional medical care relied more heavily on medications and were disabled longer than chiropractic patients. Those under a physician’s care were disabled for an average of 119 days versus 49 days for chiropractic patients. Plus, chiropractic care helps prevent future episodes by addressing the root cause, rather than masking the symptoms.

Patients with chronic low-back pain treated by chiropractors had higher improvement and were more satisfied at the end of month one than patients treated by family doctors. A higher percentage of chiropractic patients (56 percent vs. 13 percent) stated that their pain was better or much better. In contrast, nearly one-third of medical patients stated theirs was worse or much worse.
