Dr. Young: NUCCA Specialist & Community Leader

While his initial experience was as a full spine chiropractor, he quickly became intrigued with the NUCCA technique. Since then, he has fully embraced upper cervical care and has successfully completed the challenging 300-hour Diplomate program in Craniocervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP) through the International Chiropractic Association. He is also Level 2 Certified in NUCCA Procedures and Protocols. He continually evolves professionally and has extensive post-graduate training in Spinal Decompression and Laser Therapy.

Through hard work, dedication, and community service, he earned the honor of Eagle Scout rank through the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Young continues to serve by being the volunteer chiropractor for homeless youth at San Diego’s Urban Street Angels. He visits this non-profit organization’s campus and adjusts the program’s participants on a weekly basis. When he's not being a chiropractor in San Diego, you can find him cycling around, as he enjoys all things related to exercise!

At Intouch Chiropractic, Our Chiropractors Are the Best of the Best

Dr. Young has received extensive training in radiographic positioning and  analysis, as well as MRI reading.  Twice a year, he attends the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) Conference for ongoing training. Despite years of success as a chiropractor, he never allows himself to become complacent, revisiting both NUCCA and non-NUCCA techniques. He continually refines his adjusting procedures  to maintain his expert mastery of the field. During these events, he and his colleague Dr. Tapia train from top to bottom in all things NUCCA.

Dr. Young took it to another level when he enrolled in a 3-year upper cervical diplomate program through the International Chiropractic Association. He attended monthly, in-person training in Chicago with a small group of dedicated colleagues from across the country. The program consisted of 300 classroom hours plus multiple exams. This was a challenging but worthwhile endeavor. With his extensive knowledge, he is able to diagnose MRI upper cervical findings that are at times missed by radiologists.

Many of our patients have tried multiple treatments and even surgery before they find Dr. Young. They are surprised to see how effective these gentle, non-invasive, natural treatments can be. It is Dr. Young’s great pleasure to help free his patients from pain and help them get back to enjoying an active lifestyle.
